We want to make ordering of your prescription(s) as stress free as possible. Read the information below to see how you can benefit from this service.
You can sign up if you haven’t already to our repeat prescriptions service.
We can handle your request from when you put it in, through to delivering it to your home free of charge.
You can re-order your repeat prescriptions through us by:
We can take your request over the telephone providing you know what you require before you ring. Your request will then get sent directly to the surgery via our computer.
In the Pharmacy
You can hand your repeat request form in to us. We then take it to the surgery (except on the weekends) either that day or the next day depending what time you brought it in.
We go to the surgery twice a day, mid-morning and late afternoon.
When to expect your prescription to be ready
Please allow 48 hours from putting in your request. This allows for the time it takes to take the request to the surgery, for your request to be processed by the doctor, for us to go back up to the surgery to collect the authorized prescription, and to bring it back to the pharmacy to be dispensed.
*Please be aware of the following:
- The surgery is closed on the weekend so prescriptions are not authorized by the doctor until the next working day.
- If you have requested an item that you have not had for over 6 months or the item is an acute e.g. antibiotics, then that item may take longer than 48 hours or may not get authorized at all.
- There may be a problem in obtaining stock to complete your prescription. If this occurs we will inform you but if it’s needed urgently we can arrange an alternative with your GP.
